Naturopathic Nutrition

If you’ve read this far, you must have understood my approach to life. You’ve realized that I too have experienced dark times, that I once thought no one could help me, and that I believed I would never regain either joy or a positive outlook—let alone happiness. I thought that despite all my efforts, I would remain a poor, unlucky single mother, a modest employee whose name would be forgotten by everyone…

The Naturopathic Nutrition on Myself

For a long time, I saw myself as a Harlequin desperately trying to mend a jacket that was still too short on fabric. Every time I told myself one of these things (in our inner dialogue), my heart would ache…

And yet…

Did you know that the health of our gut translates into a good mood?

Did you know that the health of our liver translates into productivity and joy in our endeavors?

As naturopaths, we are neither doctors nor nutrition experts, but we have in-depth knowledge of how emotions and diet affect our health in relation to our anatomy and physiology. We have studied these subjects using the same textbooks as medical students and also have an understanding of our body’s biochemistry. Our teachers in the scientific disciplines are medical doctors.

In essence, we have a thorough understanding of how our bodies respond to different life stages and stress from significant events. We also know how to restore well-being by adopting a lifestyle that respects our natural rhythms and the seasons, and by choosing foods that support us through their seasonal benefits.

How to Manage Naturopathic Nutrition

I already know what the first objection you’ll raise is, because it’s likely the same one I had:

But how can I manage? I work all day and don’t have time.

But how can I manage? I have young children and can’t prepare different dishes.

But how can I manage? It takes 45 minutes to cook rice.

At some point, I started calling them excuses. When we don’t take care of ourselves, we come up with all sorts of excuses to stick to old habits, giving ourselves a bit of a victim complex. We almost find comfort in this state of victimhood (or limbo)… except that every now and then, our Heart and Soul ask to be heard. When this call is ignored for too long, though, the body ends up suffering.

Do you remember when I told you that a holistic practitioner takes care of the whole person? body, mind, and heart?

Do you remember that holistic disciplines work with symbols, archetypes, and analogies?

Well, the body loves to be in alignment with the desires of the heart and soul. After all, the body is the temple where our soul resides. It is the last to fall ill but also the last to heal. When you notice a decline in its condition, ask yourself what you have given up, where you are forcing yourself to stay, and what you are demanding it to endure…

    The Benefits of Naturopathic Nutrition

Believe me, changing your lifestyle, which includes (yes, indeed) making some adjustments to your diet (but not as drastically as you might fear—just slightly, as I suggest), will help shift your attitude towards yourself. In just a few weeks, your body will adjust, and you’ll experience new emotions because you’ll be brimming with energy!

You’ll find that you sleep much better and feel more rested.

You’ll notice that you smile more often and find it harder to feel angry.

Soon, your children will be asking you to keep making these delicious dishes (because they’ll feel better too!).

You’ll see a significant boost in your self-esteem as a cook!

I will guide you every step of the way, offering tips to prepare delicious, flavorful, and colorful meals that will delight your eyes, taste buds, and stomach. And they’ll be ready in no time (remember, I’m a mom too, so I understand the importance of spending time with my kids). Most importantly, we’ll uncover where your sadness and bitterness have been hiding; you’ll see how seasonal foods will strengthen your body and how your emotions will shift from shadow to light.

Are you ready to get started? And most importantly, are you ready to find the time and energy to revisit your dreams?
