Disciplines – Naturopathy
Naturopathy
When I decided to embark on this new field of study, I believed that by gaining a deeper understanding of wellness-related topics, I would be able to support my clients more comprehensively.
Naturopathy, which literally means “the path of nature,” is also grounded in the profound wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In this case, increased awareness would not come from the external environment (as it does with Feng Shui) but rather from within—through our diet, how we experience our emotions, and how these affect the well-being (or ill-being) of our organs.
In summary, it became clear to me how knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology can be applied to our personal experiences and our perception of life events.
How the study of Naturopathy has transformed me.
Certainly, I realized that once I embarked on this journey, there was no turning back. While factual knowledge might help others, it was philosophy and awareness that worked on my consciousness.
Over time, even my name, which I found complex as a child, began to bear significance. “Raffaele” refers to Saint Raphael, which etymologically means “God heals,” and is the patron of pharmacists and healers.
Thus, my focus on well-being is reflected in my name, Raffaela. I have always had a talent for offering comfort to those who are suffering. Although I loved medicine, I discovered that my true gift was making people feel good through my presence and words.
People can sense comfort from my words alone. One client told me, “Your presence warms my heart.” Another, after watching one of my videos, said, “I wasn’t feeling well today, but your voice and message gave me comfort.”
Emotions in Naturopathy
As my awareness grows over time, people increasingly feel they can turn to me for a deep sharing of their emotions and to speak openly about their physical discomforts, which are always connected to their emotional state. Often, our organs become strained by the types of thoughts we continuously harbor.
One day, I realized that in certain situations, I would always react with a terrible, violent, and frightening outburst of anger (even to myself). I tried to listen to that anger, to feel how it developed, and to observe what happened in my consciousness first and then in my body. Eventually, I understood that this outburst of anger was not what I truly wanted to feel, and that I wasn’t genuinely angry. I perceived that my body seemed to need that little spark to trigger the production of hormones it was craving! Our bodies work this way: we have conditioned them to receive a certain amount of neurotransmitters or hormones due to our reactions to events. Often, these events are merely events, but we interpret them and let circulate the results of our reactions throughout our organs.
Naturopathy explains the connection between ailments and emotions.
When we experience prolonged anger, it can eventually lead to liver problems, and consequently, affect our eyes. In the section “Feng Shui-ing Your Life,” which is dedicated to all the pathways I have developed so far, I also mention that I was able to address a significant issue with floaters through diet, using a glycerin macerate of Fir, and, most importantly, by cleansing my liver of harmful sensations such as anger and bitterness.
If sadness pervades and lingers, it can eventually lead to respiratory issues; a cold is often just a strong need for our body to release tears. Conversely, if we tend to be overly rigid, our arteries are likely to suffer.
Naturopathy guides a client to identify the physical and emotional discomfort that is troubling them. The diet we recommend includes foods that naturally support, either by type, as Paracelsus described, or by seasonality, the organ where suffering tends to accumulate. With the support of flower essences (Bach or Australian flowers), glycerin macerates, mother tinctures, or dry plant extracts, we harness their significant supportive power.
It is now clear that this approach is the opposite of treating symptoms directly. Here, support comes from the awareness and deep desire of the person to achieve long-term well-being, to resolve their approach to life and its events, whether these are caused by others’ behaviors or by dramatic occurrences.
This illustrates the difference between an intervention as a “firefighter” and as a “gardener”.

Happiness is a choice in naturopathy.
Over the years, I have personally explored the benefits of applying Feng Shui and Naturopathy principles. I have indeed observed significant changes in my body, such as the regrowth of eyelashes, the disappearance of bothersome night sweats caused by menopause, and the reduction of floaters.
Using Schüssler salts, certain Japanese mushrooms (like Maitake or Reishi), or simply supplementing with minerals—which our modern Western diet often lacks—has enabled me to respond to stressful life events more effectively and swiftly. It has also provided support to my entire emotional system.
This has been true for both me and my family.
As soon as physical changes began to manifest, I noticed improvements in my emotional state as well.
- Is it possible for certain ailments to diminish or disappear completely?
- Is it possible to feel younger?
- Is it possible to regain the desire to smile, laugh, and live?
Changing Your Lifestyle with Naturopathy
For me, it was truly essential to feel well. I mean genuinely feeling well—feeling good with myself, in my body, and with my emotions.
I was exhausted from experiencing anger, sadness, bitterness, disappointment, and melancholy.
That means that I couldn’t bear to see myself with a body and face that reflected all the suffering I had endured, and above all, I was incredibly tired of suffering. I needed new energy, new strength, and most importantly, new vitality.
I felt I owed it to my daughters, my friends, and most of all, to myself.
- How did the lifestyle change come about?
- It involved a shift in perspective: moving from treating symptoms to adopting a mindful approach.
Initially, this was achieved through a more mindful diet, support from my living environment (using Feng Shui), and the aid of Bach flower remedies or crystals.
The change happened very gradually, which is why the results have been lasting. These “supplements” begin to affect the subtle aspects of our consciousness, if we allow them.
Essential oils, for obvious reasons, are perceived almost instantaneously by the limbic system of the brain. Similarly, glycerin macerates and phytotherapeutic remedies create a state of well-being that feels almost like magical elixirs!
Awareness in Naturopathy
The second step was to become aware of every word I spoke, every piece of music I listened to, every book I read, and every landscape I observed. I ensured that everything brought my mind back to my actions and thoughts. When you cleanse your body and simultaneously clear your mind, the entire system, which is holistic by nature, regenerates. As a result, a healthy gut starts producing hormones like dopamine and serotonin again, which are key neurotransmitters for well-being!
- So, how can you feel better?
- How can you eliminate joint pain, nighttime awakenings, insomnia, nausea, acidity, tinnitus, candidiasis, and cystitis?
